Refund policy

At Vavna Designs Studio, we take pride in the craftsmanship and care that goes into each of our products. As a boutique that works closely with skilled artisans, each piece is thoughtfully made, more often by hand, with attention to detail. However, we also understand that there may be instances where a return or exchange is necessary. We have therefore created a balanced return policy to ensure a fair and smooth experience for both our customers and our studio.

Eligibility for Returns & Exchanges

β€’ Returns or exchanges are accepted only in the case of a genuine defect, damage in transit, or if the wrong product is delivered.

β€’ Requests must be raised within 48 hours of delivery by writing to us at customercare@vavna.inΒ  with a clear video of opening of the parcel and opening of the entire product, photographs and order details.

β€’ The item must be unused, unwashed, and returned in its original packaging with all tags intact.

What Cannot Be Returned

β€’ We do not accept returns or exchanges for reasons related to:

  1. Minor variations in colour or texture (due to handwork or screen settings)
  2. Size issues (please refer to the size chart or get in touch before placing the order)
  3. Custom-stitched, altered, or made-to-order items

β€’ Products purchased during a sale or promotion are non-returnable and non-refundable

Our Process

β€’ Once your request is approved, we will guide you through the return shipping process.

β€’ Reverse pickup is available in select pin codes. In other cases, the customer may be required to ship the product back to us.

β€’ Upon receipt and inspection of the returned item, a credit note (valid for 6 months) or exchange will be initiated, based on your preference.

Refunds

β€’ We do not offer monetary refunds. Only credit notes or exchanges will be provided to ensure sustainability and fairness to our artisan collaborators.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE

β€’Β  The colours you see on your device may vary due to the varying colour reproduction, brightness, resolution and temperature of individual devices. If you'd like more clarity before your purchase, please contact our customer support team. They will be happy to assist you with 'daylight' images if needed. We will not accept exchanges against colour perception concerns.

β€’Β  Vavna Designs Studio cannot be held responsible for any damage that occurs to the product after purchase due to exposure to rain, careless use, stains, incorrect/improper cleaning and care and other normal wear and tear.

β€’Β  In cases of sarees, attached or 'running' blouse vary in length. This is due to differences in woven warp lengths. The measurements normally vary between 80 cm to 100 cm. However, for the sake of uniformity, the blouse length has been mentioned as 80 cm for all sarees.

CANCELLATION OF ORDERS

β€’Β  We start processing your order as soon as you pay for the same and hence we do not encourage any cancellation of orders.

SPECIAL ORDERS

β€’Β  In some cases, Vavna Designs Studio takes on special orders for customers, most often on products that have sold out but that can be remade. These are on a case to case basis and require us to check with our workshop if it is indeed possible to recreate.

β€’Β  In the event that it is possible, please note that lead time to remake and prepare to ship such product is variable and may extend beyond the committed time frame due to the handmade nature of the product, and placement within the current workflow run. We will monitor this and keep customers updated.

β€’Β  Most importantly, due to the fluctuating nature of the raw materials over time, especially artisan costs, and cost of fabric, embroidery threads, paints, etc., there may be a slight variation in cost between the product earlier showcased and the cost of the exact same product taken on as special order. While under such circumstances, we will make every attempt to communicate any ballpark price changes to customers placing special orders, please be advised this may not always be possible.Β 

β€’Β  Special orders are made specifically on customer requests and therefore cannot be cancelled or exchanged once the order is placed.
