This black hand painted pure Murshidabad triple thread (T.T.) silk saree from West Bengal with a mustard yellow blouse, is a masterpiece of textile art that brings together the best of Bengali craftsmanship and creativity through a process that is labour-intensive, requiring patience, skill, and an eye for detail.
In this saree, a skilled artist, hailing from rural Bengal, has painted the ever popular tulip flowers, using a combination of detailed brushwork and acid colours. The colourful flowers used in the pallu and lower skirt of the saree, offsets beautifully against the black body colour.
